The Keystone Houses

Keystone International Schools operates a structured House system that fosters school spirit, leadership, and community engagement. All students and teachers from Grades 1 to 12 are assigned to one of four houses.

House Assignment

All students and teachers from Grades 1-12 are assigned to houses based on balanced distribution by grade level and gender. Once assigned, students remain in their house throughout their entire journey at Keystone, fostering long-term relationships and school spirit.

Earning Points

Students earn house points through academic performance, positive behavior, and participation in school events. Points are accumulated throughout the year, creating ongoing motivation for excellence in all areas of school life.

Annual Competition

House points are tracked across the entire academic year. The house with the highest total score receives the prestigious House Trophy at the end-of-year ceremony, celebrating their collective achievements.

House Leadership Newsletter icon

Each house is led by two House Captains, typically selected from Grade 11 or 12 students. These leaders are chosen by the Student Council advisor and school administration based on their demonstrated:

  • Leadership abilities and natural charisma
  • School involvement and participation
  • Commitment to the school community
  • Positive influence on their peers

House Captains automatically serve as members of the Student Council, where they help plan events, motivate their teammates, and represent the student voice in school decisions.
