Canvas:Online Learning Platform for Grades 1-12

Beginning this academic year, Canvas will continue to serve as the online learning management system for all students from Grade 1 to Grade 12. Canvas is a secure, cloud-based platform that allows teachers, students, and parents to access and manage academic content in one organized location.

Through Canvas, students can review daily lessons, submit assignments, participate in discussions, check grades, and receive teacher feedback. Teachers can post course materials, create assessments, track student progress, and communicate efficiently with families. Parents who are registered as observers can follow their child’s coursework and academic updates.

Canvas supports blended and asynchronous learning. It allows teachers to differentiate instruction by uploading materials suited to various learning levels and provides an accessible record of all coursework for reference. All files and submissions are stored digitally, reducing the need for printed materials and ensuring consistent access from home and school.

The platform integrates with other educational tools used by the school, including PowerSchool and Google Drive, enabling smooth data management. It aligns with international academic standards by promoting transparency, digital responsibility, and self-directed learning. Using Canvas also helps students prepare for university environments where learning management systems are a standard part of instruction.
